12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge - Snowflakes

This day is almost over... but somewhere it's still Sunday . So, I'll let you see my snowflakes.
Danas je već gotovo... ali negdje je još uvijek nedjelja . Pa ću vas pustiti da vidite moje pahuljice.

I started with gradient from those two gorgeous Gabrini polishes - 109 and 110, then drew the snowflakes to end it up with Essence 'party time' glitter. Unfortunately, because of the position of the snowflakes the gradient is not so visible. But, this is not a bad manicure after all .
Započela sam s gradijentom od ova dva Gabrini krasotana - 109 i 110, zatim nacrtala pahuljice i završila s Essence 'party time' glitterom. Na žalost, zbog položaja pahuljica gradijent je jedva vidljiv. Ali sve u svemu, manikura i nije tako loša .

12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge - Gifts

Hi my friends!

I still haven't wrap Christmas gifts, to tell you honestly I haven't bought any of them yet. So, instead of gifts I'll just show you some wrapping paper with cute bows .
Nisam još zamotala poklone koji idu ispod božićnog drvca, ma da budem iskrena nisam još ni kupila ništa. I zato, umjesto darova pokazat ću vam papir za umatanje i slatke mašnice .

Believe it or not, this was my fourth attempt... I tried freehand nail art, then nail polish who refused to dry, and with my third manicure I hit the coffee mug and ruined it, of course... oh, this just wasn't a day for polishing . 

And, it seems like this has become a costume of mine, let me introduce you to my lovely assistants - all of them holographic, except the last one, that one is a flakie. I used Konad polishes for stamping - white, blue, red and black, but those are to shy to stand in front of the camera . By the way, flakie over holo is not such a great idea.

Vjerovali ili ne, ovo mi je bio četvrti pokušaj... pokušala sam nešto nacrtati (nije išlo), iduća je podloga bio lak koji se odbijao osušiti, a s trećom manikurom sam udarila u šalicu kave... i pokvarila je, naravno. Ovo baš nije bio dan za lakiranje .

A čini se da mi je i ovo postao običaj, moram još predstaviti i svoje ljupke pomagače - svi holo osim posljednjeg koji je poslužio kao nadlak - flakie. Za štambiljanje sam koristila Konad lakiće - bijeli, plavi, crveni i crni, koji su pak bili prestidljivi da bi stali ispred kamere . Usput, flakie preko holića i nije baš neka sjajna ideja.

12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge - Holiday Movie

Hi my friends!

How about some Holiday Movie? Or at least a song from one?
Što kažete za božićni filmić? Ili barem pjesmu iz nekog od njih?

I saw this amazing manicure, and I hoped I can do something similar... just hoped. I don't know about you, but I often expect too much from myself, and that's not healthy at all . But, I've tried to do my best, I can tell that . This is the result:
Vidjela sam ovu fantastičnu manikuru i ponadala se da bih mogla nešto slično izvesti... ali bila je to tek nada. Ne znam za vas, meni se često desi da previše očekujem od sebe same, a to baš i nije zdravo . Ma bar mogu reći da sam dala najbolje od sebe . Evo što je na kraju ispalo:

 
I'm not quite succeed, but I think this guy is still recognizable . Not as nearly as the one that Sue drew but kinda Grinch-ish too.

Nije baš neki uspjeh, ali mislim da je prepoznatljiv . Nije ni približno dobar kao onaj kojeg je Sue nacrtala, ali mi se čini dovoljno Grinch-ast.

12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge - Snowmen

Hi my friends!

It seems like whole Croatia is under snow... well, I'm glad to tell you that my part of country is still clean . Snow or no snow, I made my Mr. Snowmen, not just one but three of them.
Čini se da je čitava Hrvatska zatrpana snijegom... a meni je drago da mogu reći da je moj dio zemlje sasvim čist . Sa snjegom ili bez njega, Snjegovića sam isto napravila, i to ne jednog nego tri.

I'm showing you my right hand just because the snow on this one looks much better than on the left, but I'm afraid I can't tell the same for my Snowmen. This is the first time I've tried to do one of Robin Moses's designs, despite all the admiration I have for her work. This Snowmen looked like something that maybe, just maybe, I will be able to do it myself. The Snowmen is painted with acrylic paints, and the snow is made with crackle polishes, I sponged the nails with white and silver crackle, that way you get this gorgeous look. At the end, I really love this manicure, and I'm glad I could wear it for next three days.
These were my little helpers for this manicure:
Pokazujem vam i desnu ruku samo zato jer snijeg na njoj izgleda bolje nego na lijevoj, ali se bojim da ne mogu isto reći i za Snjegovića. Ovo je prvi put da sam uopće pokušala rekreirati nešto od Robin Moses, unatoč svom divljenju koje imam za njen rad. Ovaj Snjegović je izgledao kao nešto što bih možda mogla i sama napraviti. Snjegovića sam nacrtala s akrilnim bojicama, a snijeg nastojala dočarati uz pomoć bijelog i srebrnog pucarka koje sam spužvom natapkala na nokte, na taj način možete dobiti ovaj cool izgled. Sviđa mi se manikura i baš mi je drago što ću je moći šetati iduća tri dana.

12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge - Candy Cane

Hi my friends!

Have you ever tried Candy Cane? I haven't . But I'll rather have it on my nails than on my teeth .
Jeste ikad probale Candy Cane? Ja nisam . Ali radije bih ih imala na noktima nego na zubima .

I'm pretty happy with this manicure, I must tell you. I'm only sorry that there was no sun outside when I took these pictures... it smells like snow, it's really cold! I live by the sea and we here don't see much of snow, every few years a few snowflakes and that's it, that's why snow is always such a big news . 

Anyway, I used China Glaze 'snow' and 'ruby pumps' for this manicure, with striping tape. If there's one nail polish that reminds me of Christmas, it's 'ruby pumps', gorgeous and divine glittery red . I really love it! Only on the last two pics there's topcoat on my nails, I was afraid of smearing the manicure so I took pictures before I applied it too. 

Prilično sam zadovoljna s ovom manikurom, moram reći. Jedino mi je žao što nije bilo sunca kad sam išla pofotkati noktiće... miriše mi na snijeg, baš je hladno! Živim pored mora i tu vidimo svako par godina po par pahuljica, zato nam je snijeg uvijek velika vijest .

Nego, za manikuru sam koristila China Glaze 'snow' i 'ruby pumps' sa striping trakicama. Ako me ijedan lak podsjeća na Božić, onda je to definitivno 'ruby pumps', božanski crveni glitter . Obožavam ga! Samo na zadnje dvije fotke je nanešen nadlak, za svaki slučaj sam prvo pofotkala nokte bez njega jer mi je u zadnje vrijeme krenilo razmazivanje .
