Matching Manicure Sunday #12 - Snow Manicure

Hi there!

Maybe you know, maybe you don't, this sunday balkanic beauty bloggers are wearing snow manicures. Just to let you know, I'm not an exception.
Možda znate, možda ne, ali ove nedjelje balkanske beauty blogerice nose sniježne manikure. I da znate i to da nisam ni ja iznimka. 

See, it's so cold outside that even the penguins are wearing scarfs and hats . Still no snow, but thanks, we don't need it here. 

This manicure looks kinda like my last one... couldn't help it, my hands grabbed these polishes and I was helpless. I used: L'OREAL 'rebel blue', Misslyn 703 'crackling silver' and China Glaze 'snow' for snowflakes, everything sealed with essence fast dry topcoat. The winter is coming... but we have to wait till spring to see new episodes of 'Game of thrones' . How about that mr. Martin, is he writing any new pages? Hope he does . 

Anyway, let's check out what the other girls have done, I bet they were busy too.

Vani je tako hladno da su čak i pingvini izvukli šalove i kape . Još uvijek nema snijega, ali hvala lijepa, mi ga tu ni ne trebamo.

Manikura podsjeća na moju posljednju... nije do mene, ruke su odmah poletjele i uhvatile ove lakove, bez da me itko išta pitao. Koristila sam: L'OREAL 'rebel blue', Misslyn 703 'crackling silver' i China Glaze 'snow' za pahuljice, sve zatvoreno essenceovim brzosušećim nadlakom. Zima stiže... ali ćemo morati sačekati do proljeća da vidimo nove epizode 'Igre prijestolja' . Što mislite o barba Martinu, piše li nove stranice? Nadam se da da .

Nego, idemo provjeriti i što su druge cure napravile, kladim se da su i one bile vrijedne.

12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge - Snowmen

It seems like whole Croatia is under snow... well, I'm glad to tell you that my part of country is still clean . Snow or no snow, I made my Mr. Snowmen, not just one but three of them.
Čini se da je čitava Hrvatska zatrpana snijegom... a meni je drago da mogu reći da je moj dio zemlje sasvim čist . Sa snjegom ili bez njega, Snjegovića sam isto napravila, i to ne jednog nego tri.

I'm showing you my right hand just because the snow on this one looks much better than on the left, but I'm afraid I can't tell the same for my Snowmen. This is the first time I've tried to do one of Robin Moses's designs, despite all the admiration I have for her work. This Snowmen looked like something that maybe, just maybe, I will be able to do it myself. The Snowmen is painted with acrylic paints, and the snow is made with crackle polishes, I sponged the nails with white and silver crackle, that way you get this gorgeous look. At the end, I really love this manicure, and I'm glad I could wear it for next three days.
These were my little helpers for this manicure:
Pokazujem vam i desnu ruku samo zato jer snijeg na njoj izgleda bolje nego na lijevoj, ali se bojim da ne mogu isto reći i za Snjegovića. Ovo je prvi put da sam uopće pokušala rekreirati nešto od Robin Moses, unatoč svom divljenju koje imam za njen rad. Ovaj Snjegović je izgledao kao nešto što bih možda mogla i sama napraviti. Snjegovića sam nacrtala s akrilnim bojicama, a snijeg nastojala dočarati uz pomoć bijelog i srebrnog pucarka koje sam spužvom natapkala na nokte, na taj način možete dobiti ovaj cool izgled. Sviđa mi se manikura i baš mi je drago što ću je moći šetati iduća tri dana.

'Three' nail challenge - Day 5

Hi my friends!

Today's theme in 'three' nail challenge is favorite book. I'm a book worm, always was... and when you read so much it's not easy to choose your favorite book, but one of my favorite book is of course 'Lord of the Rings' by John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. First time I met this guy and his characters I was in high school.  I still remember like it was today... actually,  the very first his book to me was 'Hobit'... oh boy, I just couldn't sleep until I finished it! Next day after school I rushed to the library for 'Lord of the Rings'. When it comes to the books, I kinda have OCD, if the books intrigues me - no sleeping for me . I'm glad to tell you that even today, there are books out here that will keep me awake all night... and it's absolutely worthy! I kinda feel sorry for the people that doesn't know the joy of reading, I really do... blah blah blah... We're here for the nails, so I'll just stop babbling . 

There was so many scenes from the book (and from the movies, which I absolutely adore) that are worth of attention, but I'm not so good at nail art, so I decided for something simple - the moment when the Ring ends up in the lava of Mount Doom. I started last night...
Današnja tema 'tri' izazova je omiljena knjiga. Ja sam vam knjiški crv, uvijek sam bila... a kad čitate tako puno nije lako izabrati omiljenu knjigu, ali definitivno jedna od omiljenih je 'Gospodar prstenova' John Ronald Reuel Tolkien-a. Prvi put smo se sreli u srednjoj školi i još se sjećam kao da je bilo jučer... u stvari, ta prva knjiga je bila 'Hobit'... bože moj, nisam mogla zaspati dok ju nisam završila! Sutradan nakon škole sam požurila do biblioteke po 'Gospodara prstenova'. Kad su knjige u pitanju, čini mi se da imam OKP, ako me knjiga dovoljno zainteresira - nema spavanja . Drago mi je što mogu reći da još uvijek povremeno naletim na knjige koje me drže budnom cijelu noć... i vrijedi probdijeti zbog njih! Nekako mi je žao ljudi koji ne poznaju radost čitanja... bla bla... Nego idemo mi na nokte, prestat ću 'laprdat' .
Ima brdo upečatljivih scena iz knjige (i filmova, koje apsolutno obožavam), ali kako ja i nisam nešto vješta s kistovima odlučila sam se za nešto jednostavno - trenutak kad Prsten završi u lavi Klete gore. Počela sam sinoć...

... but this morning I found out that I don't like it at all, so I did another manicure... with better lava.

... ali jutros sam zaključila da mi se ovo ne sviđa, pa sam napravila novu manikuru, s uvjerljivijom lavom.

In my humble opinion, the lava looks just fine, but the ring... well, it's the best I could do, it's not easy to draw over crackles, because they're... cracked .

I applied red polish, then sponged it with an orange and yellow polish, at the end I add one coat of black crackle polish. Then I draw (or tried) the ring, and seal it all with a topcoat. 

What would you say - yay or nay? Do you read? What's your favorite book/books?

Po mom skromnom mišljenju, lava izgleda ok, ali prsten... nisam mogla bolje, nije lako crtati preko 'pucarka', jer je... pa ispucan .

Nalakirala sam nokte crvenim lakom, spužvom nanijela narančasti pa žuti, na kraju ih prešla crnim crackle lakom. Onda sam nacrtala (ili bar pokušala nacrtati) prsten, i sve pokrila nadlakom.

I love my new manicure...

As base color I used 'true love' from Essence's 'Vampire's love' collection, and this gorgeous silver sparkling crackle is Misslyn 703, given to me by ItGirl as token of appreciation for hosting the giveaway. Thanks guys, I really love it!

Good feeling

It's a beautiful day outside, at least in my corner of the world... but it's not any worst inside . I've got my music, my nails are polished, lunch is almost done, I'm almost healthy ... On the nails now...
Vani je prekrasan dan, barem u mom kutku svijeta... ali nije ništa lošije ni unutra . Imam super muziku, noktići su nalakirani, ručak se krčka, skoro pa sam i zdrava ... 'Ajmo mi na nokte...  

I had a hart time to get rid of Snoopy... but yesterday came a surprise from dearest Nina, she send me this gorgeous polish - Golden Rose Graffiti 12. I thought it will be a good combo with Essence 'replay'... and I was right! This crackle is gorgeous brass-rust color, with a tons of glitters in it, it looks divine. Thank you Nina, you really made my day !

Bilo mi je teško skinuti Snoopy-ja s noktiju... ali jučer je stiglo iznenađenje od moje drage Ninočke, poslala mi je ovaj krasan lakić - Golden Rose Graffiti 12. Činilo mi se da bi s Essenceovim 'replay'om činio sasvim dobru kombinaciju... i bila sam u pravu! Ovaj crackle je fantastične brončano-zarđale boje, s tonom glittera u sebi, baš mi izgleda božanstveno. Hvala Nina, baš si mi začinila dan!

Surprise, surprise... after guessing if my last mani resemble on a poop or on a mustard, and seeing it on the sun, I kinda fell in love with it. I never had any of  Catherine Arley polish before, this was the first I've tried and I'm amazed how long it stayed on my nails... I'm sure, if I didn't put the crackle on, it would be still there. And it's much more holo than on my pictures, sorry. But I had to try one more of my new polishes, FlorMar graffiti G01, deep blue shade, with shimmer in it. Just take a look... this is how it looks on the sun...

'Đenjce, 'đenjce... nakon nagađanja koje je boje lak na mojoj posljednjoj manikuri, i nakon što sam ga vidjela na sucu, nekako sam se zaljubila u njega. Nikad prije nisam imala ništa od Catherine Arley, ovo je prvi njihov lak koji sam probala i moram priznati, da sam oduševljena koliko je dugo trajao na mojim noktima. Uvjerena sam, da nisam dodala crackle, još uvijek bi tamo i bio. I da, jači je holo u stvarnosti nego na fotkama, sorry. Ali morala sam probati još jedan novi lakić, FlorMar graffiti G01, modri lak sa shimmerom. Samo pogledajte... ovako izgleda na suncu...

Unfortunately, this bottle had an accident on its way, the cap wasn't tightened properly and some of polish leaked and became something thicker, I believe. But, what a great polish this is ! Lovely color, it crackles just great... to see the shimmer please click for larger pics.

Na žalost, ova bočica je putem doživjela nezgodu, čep nije bio stegnut do kraja pa je nešto laka iscurilo i pritom se zgusnuo. Inače, ovo je fantastičan lak ! Krasna boja, predobro puca... a da bi vidjeli shimmer slobodno kliknite i povećajte slike.
